Maxi'd Out

Everyone's talking about maxi dresses, they are everywhere at the moment and have soared in popularity to become one of this season's hottest trends. However, there's a new trend emerging that's beating maxi dresses to the top trend spot. The trend lets you mix and match the top half of your outfit, allowing you to create more looks with one staple item. The maxi skirt is displaying the comeback of the 90's era.

Eco is the new black

As the impact of the still current recession continues, fashion takes inspiration from a new financial landscape. Trash can couture, which sees designers literally raiding the bin which represents a new take on fashionable upcycling.

Simon Ras-Mussen drew from this mentality in his 2010 collection, stuffing puffa jackets with fabric and plastic bags and by embellishing oversized coats with newspapers and plastic cups. Burnt denim and coats created from recycled quilts completed the look, cocooning the wearer in a soft protective shelter that portrays that eco is the new black.

90's Kid

Wildfox have a way of making you like, or at least accept things you probably shouldn't like... stonewash denim, bum bags, cycling shorts and heavy metal tees. Things that were cool in the 90's. Well the 90's are back and looking cooler than ever with the Wildfox stamp of approval.
