Alladin's Cave

One of my favourite parts to the trip was taking a visit to Liverpool Market. As I walked up to the open market I felt like I was in Eastenders, everyone was haggling for the best price in fish and all the meats you could think of... thank the lord I'am not a vegetarian. There was heaps of make up, hair products and Topshop shoes for a fraction of the price, you name it they sold it.

As I pushed my way through the hustle and bustle of the scouse hagglers there was another part to the market which was in an inside like town hall. I thought I'd take a peek, well mainly I wanted to go inside from the freezing weather it was seriously making my hands blue, as I got closer I noticed the sign was faded and missed one of the 'o' letters in Liverpool Market, I didn't really know what to expect?...perhaps more replica perfumes I thought.

Once inside it was like an Aladdin's cave I didn't know what to feast my eyes on first, there were rails and rails of replica designer dresses and bundles of hand made jewellery, vintage handbags and even personalised cupcakes, it really was any girls dream on a budget!

Liverpool's thirst for being stylish and it's financially proven addiction to shopping has made them one of the few, if not the best success story I feel during the credit crunch. With the luxury of having these local markets bursting with undiscovered fashion, Liverpool looks fabulous without burning a hole in the purse.
